My dear friend, I hope you’re having an amazing day. You already know the theme of what we do here.
Shadowbox.
Jump the rope.
Speak wisdom.
A little bit of Chinese lion dance.
And a whole lot talking(trying to speak more wisdom).
I’d like to say I’ve created my own lifestyle. That of a “Martial Artist”.
I train, I discipline myself, then, I teach.
It’s a never ending cycle.
Train. Eat. Teach. Repeat.
Teach. Train. Eat. Repeat.
It’s really a life of me serving my craft then serving others.
There is no flashy rewards.
There are no crowds to watch and cheer me on.
There is my content creation but ultimately that’s either me teaching or serving you in some way.
This life of a “Martial Artist”.
There is no glory.
Yet…
For me…
It’s all FUN.
You know those moments when you’re in your head battling if you should eat that desert or not?
I love that.
You know those moments before a workout where you’re just sick and tired of the same old training?
I love that.
You know when you see other people having fun, going on vacations, smiling in pictures at outings, yet, your only real big plan is to sleep in because you have training in the morning?
I love that.
The life of a martial artist is one of beauty and complete fun. If you’re up for it…
Now, I’m not trying to scare you away from this life.
I know you’ve heard the famous quote, “Discipline equals freedom.” It’s true.
On this lifestyle, I literally can do whatever it is I want.
As a martial artist, my one true desire was to master my skills and my body. I have no desire for matreial things so I’m not held down by anything.
Because of this lifestyle, my mind is sharp, I’ve got confidence and I’m basically open and friendly due to having self respect. With that I can travel anywhere with no fear.
Most of all, because of this lifestyle, I can see the beauty in the little things all around me. My senses are sharp and my body is sensitive. Every little thing in my surroundings jump out with life and opulence. There’s no need for me to seek crazy adventures.
The life of a Martial Artist is not for everyone. But if you try it out, you’d probably never go back.
I just hope you’re having an amazing day my friend.
And with that just always remember,
TRAIN HARD & BE KIND.
